When it comes to the customization of forms in either QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online (QBO), adding a logo to an invoice is one of the most common enhancements QuickBooks users want.
In this post, we will add a logo to an invoice form in QBO. This process is very different than it is in QuickBooks Desktop. So, the question comes up often.
Rather than starting with a template in the software, we want to navigate to Company Settings. Click the gear icon in the upper right part of the window. Choose the link for Company Settings.
Along the left side of the window are several categories of settings. Be sure the Company section is selected.
You can see the space for the logo already in the Company name sector. Click the pencil icon in the upper right to edit the information contained in this section.
A window opens that allows you to reset the name of the company. A new button, Customize logo appears. Click that.
The window changes and in the bottom portion is the label “Company logo” and a Browse button.
We will click on the browse button and navigate to the location on our computer where the graphic for our company logo resides.
You can tell if QBO has recognized and saved your logo file by the changes to the edit window.
The name of the graphic file appears in the Company logo section and the image shows as sort of a preview to the right. This gives you a chance to be sure you like your selection.
We will click on the Next button.
QBO returns us to the Company Settings screen which we will exit, taking us back to the QBO Home page.
The new logo won’t show on the screen as invoices are created and viewed. We can see the new look though by previewing an invoice.
Above is the header section of our new custom invoice with logo.
