Fixing errors H202 and H205 in QuickBooks Desktop (multi-user mode)

Note, this Intuit article is very helpful, and should be the first step:

If that doesn’t work,  we recommend the following steps when troubleshooting the multi-user errors H202 and H205 with QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, and/or Enterprise in a multi user environment in a local area network:

  1. Uninstall QuickBooks Desktop from EVERY computer in the Local Area Network
  2. Download the latest one: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products?productName=QuickBooks%20Desktop%20Enterprise&edition=&version=23&country=us and install it again
  3. Under “Custom and Network Options” Use the first option for the workstations and the second option for the Server (only one computer gets that seconds option)

There are some general installation for multi-user instructions here:
If that doesn’t work, then try doing a manual port configuration:
If none of these work, you need to contact Intuit, I do not think a 3rd party expert can help at this point.
