Lead Bookkeeper / Junior Tax preparer English/Spanish Full-time
Principal Responsibilities:
- Data entry and conversion
- Electronic filing of sales taxes and payroll taxes
- Go through accounting cycle firm from beginning to end for 15-30 bookkeeping engagements using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Submit reports to consultant and client for review
- Work closely with Senior Consultant and Accountant
Interpersonal skills and responsibilities:
- Interest in and demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior staff as we grow our team
- Ability to identify opportunities for professional development of staff
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment, and to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbal
- Customer service orientation and skills; comfortable answering client questions and solving problems as needed
Requirements
- Accounting Associate or Bachelor
- Accounting (3 years)
- Certified Bookkeeper or Enrolled Agent with Bookkeeping experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online (3 years)
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (1 year)
- Strong customer service focus
- Positive, upbeat disposition
- Attention to Detail
- Confidentiality
- Able to self-train in new applications, programs or procedures with detailed instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear speaking voice in English and Spanish
